A common question that most photographers get is WHAT DO I WEAR?

Here is a list of simple do's and dont's to help you decide what to wear to your next photo session.

DO be comfy - something you know moves with you and hugs you in all the right places.

DO match your outfit to the location and season.

DO bring multiple outfit options - 2 to 3 outfits that you feel amazing in.

DO lead with personality. Your outfit should reflect your personality.

DO incorporate texture and movement - pick fabrics that move with you like linen, and cotton.

DO colour scheme - aim for natural earthy tones or Neutral softer tones. For families it's best to limit your colour scheme to 4 colours. One person can wear a feature colour and everyone else's outfits compliment that.

DO wear complimentary colours.

DON'T unintentionally match each other - when multiple people wear the same colour, it can blend together and turn into one uniform blob where the viewer can't tell where one begins and the other ends.

DO be careful with patterns and prints - avoid large bold patterns and go for smaller subtle patterns. less is more!

DO think accessories! hats, scarves, jewellery, shoes!

DON'T wear large, in your face logos unless it goes with the theme. Nike isn't paying us for advertising.

DO check the small details. Chipped nail polish while a small details can be magnified in close-up photos. Treat yourself to a mani pedi the day before to ensure you are looking your best!
